At STORM we believe that working out is a healthy part of living for everyone. However, we do have a minimum age of 15 y/o to join a ride, if you are under this age we will require you to meet the minimum height requirement (4’10”) and provide us with written parental permission.
No, STORM does not offer memberships. We do not lock you into long-term commitment, which allows you to buy as many, or as little classes as you like. Of course, if you’re riding regularly, our larger credit packages offer a price discount. To check out our prices, click Packages.
One of the best things about indoor cycling is that it can be adapted to any fitness level. With the ability to adjust the resistance level on the bike, the workout can suit each rider's abilities. With every class comes increased confidence and strength, so we encourage first timers to go at their own pace and have fun.
We will sometimes offer a class called “STORM beginners”. But if we're not offering it when you're looking to ride - don't worry! We have new riders in almost every STORM class and our instructors have been trained to be attentive to new-comers. No one will leave a STORM class feeling defeated or unaccomplished.
At STORM we ride to the beat of the music, known as; BPM (beats per minute), as opposed to traditional RPM (repetitions per minute). This means there are no scoreboards. We simply want you to lose yourself in the music and our words. STORM incorporates a full body workout, inclusive of arms, abs, meditation & stretch.
At STORM we allow pregnant women to ride after their first trimester /and up until their due date/ with the knowledge of their instructor. In saying that, we will make an exception to the rule should the client produce a medical clearance certificate from their doctor stating that they have permission to ride during their first trimester.
If you are a beginner, the bike and the seat may take a few sessions to get used to. We can offer you a padded cushion for your seat, or you can wear padded bike pants, however you won’t necessarily need either. Our concept structure follows that our clients are only seated half the time and the remainder out of the saddle to make this more comfortable for you.
At STORM we have installed a water filtration system so all you need to do is bring your own bottle. You will also find water for sale – however as we support the environment we would encourage you to fill from the water system at the front counter and re-use your bottle. You will find a fresh hand towel on every bike and bathroom towels will also be provided complimentary.

Every body type is different however research indicates that indoor cyclists burn between 500-700 calories in an intensive 45 minute session. This will be relative to the amount of exertion and individual body weight of the person engaging in the activity.
No we don’t, but there is a childcare service on the ground floor at Mirdif 35 where mothers can drop off their children during class times.
No, we will supply your cycling shoes. Please indicate your correct size when reserving your class. You can request to place an order for your own cycling shoes through STORM. Please speak to a member of reception for this.
We would advise 30 minutes before class so we can show you around and familiarise you with the studio, locker room and bike set-up.
